We've landed 😎

And we're off...Left Heathrow Sun 11 Jan 15.45 with Qatar air on 1st flight to Qatar, 6 hrs

Managed to get a seat next to Brad Pitt

....7hr lay over, then 6 hrs to Bangkok, got sky train 45 baht each(about 90p!) and taxi, arrived at Hotel 9.30 pm Mon. king size bed 😊.
32 degrees and sunny 😎.

There's a river near us, you can get a water taxi for 30 baht (60p), get off any pier you like!
Well, I used to be a vegetarian.... but ended up with rice, pork and some kind of fritter for breakfast in a locals cafe, £2.50 for both of us! Since then I've eaten shrimp, prawn and tiny soft pork scratchings.😯

Went to Wat Pho, the reclining Buddha was amazing, 45m long 15m high. Both had a foot massage there.
In the evening all the street food carts set up, you can eat a meal with rice for 30tb. The orange juice is fantastic here. We found the restaurant from the Hairy bikers Asia series, Krua Apsonn, just one ferry stop up. Food was amazing, best green curry ever. Matt had Pad Thai. Find this place if you come here.
   Hairy biker!

The Thai people like Matts beard, probably cos they can't grow one.

Monk ey business.......

China town......

                                    Flat Duck anyone?

                                    Tiny tea 😊.

Crazy traffic....

Wouldn't want to be an electrician here...

The area around Hua Lampong Train Station is full of places like this. Each place specialising is one thing. Pretty poor area.

You wanna calm down........you wanna chill out.

We're playing a game called 'lady boy or no?' (Seb and Hilary will appreciate).
The 1st one we saw was a granny boy 😁.

We both had a massage this morning, it was so painful, Matt grunted throughout, his masseuse walked up and down his back, I was trying to relax, he kept making me laugh with comments like 'I think she's got right angels on her feet', the final straw was when said 'I think mine wrestles Elephants!'

Well, we've enjoyed Bangkok, thought it'd be overwhelming but the people are lovely, helpful and really friendly.
We're getting train outta here tomorrow to Ayatthuya.

Bye for now, Milly

Amusing sign that was in our room, VareeVara, Bangkok
